On August 5, Beijing time, Bloomberg reported that BrainCo, a pioneering Chinese brain-computer interface (BCI) technology R&D company, is currently engaged in discussions to secure funding with a valuation surpassing $1.3 billion. The company, which intends to launch an initial public offering (IPO) in either Hong Kong or mainland China, was founded in 2015 by Harvard alumnus Han Bicheng. BrainCo specializes in developing bionic limbs and technology that enables human brains to control computers.
