Ding Kuiling, an academician and the president of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, headed a delegation to Huawei's headquarters in Shenzhen, where they met with Ren Zhengfei, the founder of Huawei. During their meeting, the two parties engaged in comprehensive discussions on talent development and fundamental research, culminating in the signing of a "Scientific Research and Technology Cooperation Agreement." This agreement aims to fortify collaboration in areas such as artificial intelligence and data science, fostering closer ties between scientific research and industry. Huawei will contribute by providing a robust cloud computing platform to aid Shanghai Jiao Tong University in attracting top-tier talent. Since 2009, the two entities have collaborated on numerous projects and in 2019, they signed a strategic agreement encompassing scientific research innovation, talent development, and other key areas.
