On the morning of July 10, the Shanghai Municipal Government convened a press conference to introduce the upcoming 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference and the accompanying High-Level Meeting on Global Governance of Artificial Intelligence. During the event, Du Guangda, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, announced that China will take a proactive stance in advocating for global open source cooperation in AI, fostering the collaborative development of an open source ecosystem. To this end, the China-BRICS Artificial Intelligence Development and Cooperation Center, in partnership with organizations like the OpenAtom Foundation, will officially unveil the "International Open Source Cooperation Initiative for Artificial Intelligence" at the conference.
