On July 1, AECC Hunan Aerospace Power Institute's independently developed 3D printed minimalist lightweight micro turbojet engine successfully completed its maiden flight verification in Inner Mongolia, soaring to a maximum altitude of 4,000 meters above sea level. This pioneering engine marks the first domestically produced 160-kg thrust-class turbojet engine that has undergone flight verification, leveraging advanced multidisciplinary topology optimization and additive manufacturing techniques. This revolutionary approach integrates design and manufacturing processes, effectively bridging a critical gap in domestic technology. The successful verification underscores the engine's reliability and stability in actual flight conditions, paving the way for further advancements in the development of sophisticated aero engines.
