Meta has unveiled a collaboration with Anduril, a defense technology startup, aimed at crafting next-generation VR/AR extended reality headsets specifically for the US military. Initially, Microsoft secured the contract for this initiative in 2018, intending to build upon the HoloLens headset. However, earlier this year, Microsoft transferred the entire project to Anduril, while maintaining its role as the cloud service provider.
