On May 30, Microsoft's Chief Commercial Officer announced that Barclays Bank has entered into an agreement to acquire 100,000 user licenses for the AI assistant Copilot. With a monthly fee of $30 per user, the annualized value of this contract is anticipated to reach tens of millions of dollars, with bulk purchasing discounts applied to the actual prices. Furthermore, the number of Copilot users within companies like Accenture, Toyota, Volkswagen Group, and Siemens has surpassed the 100,000 mark. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella emphasized that the company prioritizes the actual utilization rate by customers' employees over merely chasing sales figures. Neither Microsoft nor the involved companies have officially commented on this development.
