Developing fundamental AI components is a multi-year, often decades-long endeavor, and companies like Google boast ownership of the majority of these crucial elements. Apple, however, possesses fewer of these components, resulting in deficiencies in its underlying AI product capabilities. This has manifested in delays for significant updates to Siri's AI version. Meanwhile, Google stands poised to embrace the generative AI era, consistently introducing new AI tools and ramping up investments.
