The China National Space Administration has announced that the Tianwen-2 mission, part of its planetary exploration program, is slated for launch on May 29. Preparations at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center are currently progressing smoothly. The Long March 3B/Y110 carrier rocket, which will undertake this launch, is nearly ready to be fueled with propellant. Tianwen-2 marks China's maiden attempt to retrieve asteroid samples and perform a flyby exploration of a main-belt comet.
