Users can generate a redemption link within the Pro Perks settings to claim their subscription. However, a security flaw in Cursor's specific redemption code system has resulted in a surge of redemption links appearing online, granting unauthorized access to the membership. It is speculated that certain users have employed number crunching tools to decipher the pattern of redemption codes, thereby obtaining memberships without a valid Perplexity Pro subscription. In response, Cursor has promptly revoked these improperly acquired memberships, although some legitimate user memberships have unfortunately been mistakenly revoked as well. This marks the second time in a short span that Cursor Pro has had to rescind a significant number of memberships.
