On May 10, as reported by Singapore's Lianhe Zaobao, approximately one month after the US government imposed restrictions on the export of Nvidia's H20 AI chips, Nvidia has unveiled plans to introduce a downgraded version of the H20 specifically tailored for the Chinese market within the next two months. According to Reuters, citing industry sources, Nvidia has already informed its key Chinese clients, including major cloud computing companies, of its intention to release the revised H20 chip in July. The company has established new technical guidelines for design, resulting in a significant downgrade in the chip's performance, with a substantial reduction in memory capacity.
