The Italian digital services conglomerate Moltiply has initiated a lawsuit against Google's parent company, Alphabet, seeking damages of $3.34 billion. The suit alleges that between 2010 and 2017, Google unfairly favored its own shopping service, Google Shopping, to the detriment of Moltiply's subsidiary, 7Pixel, which operates the price comparison website Trovaprezzi.it. This alleged bias is claimed to have stunted the growth of 7Pixel. The lawsuit has been filed with the Milan court, though specific details remain undisclosed. Notably, despite the lawsuit, Alphabet's pre-market trading on Friday exhibited a modest uptick.
