OpenAI has officially announced that Fidji Simo will take on the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its Applications Division, directly reporting to CEO Sam Altman. Simo, who most recently served as the CEO of Instacart and has been a member of the OpenAI Board of Directors for the past year, is set to officially join OpenAI later this year.
