The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China have jointly unveiled the "Guidance on the Construction of National Smart Manufacturing Standards System (2024 Edition)". This updated guidance enhances the framework of the standards system and introduces new content across five key areas: smart equipment, industrial software, and manufacturing models, among others. Additionally, it revises standards in 11 aspects. Moving forward, relevant departments will focus on refining top-level design, fostering standards implementation, and strengthening international collaboration, aiming to drive the transformation, upgrading, and high-quality development of the manufacturing sector.
