Instead, OpenAI's latest strategy involves its non-profit parent company maintaining control over the profitable arm of the business. As a co-founder of OpenAI, Musk has initiated legal action aimed at thwarting this transformation. The jury trial for this lawsuit was initially set for March 2026.
