The South Korean government has unveiled an additional budget plan amounting to KRW12 trillion (approximately USD8.4 billion), specifically designed to cushion the effects of President Trump's tariffs on the country's export-driven economy. In an effort to mitigate these tariffs, South Korean officials are scheduled to embark on a negotiation mission to the United States. Finance Minister Choi Sang-mo disclosed on Tuesday that the budget has been augmented from the initially proposed KRW10 trillion, with one-third of the funds allocated to mitigating trade war risks and fostering the development of the artificial intelligence industry.
