On April 11, Xin Guobin, the Vice Minister of China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, convened with Douglas Alexander, the Minister of State for Trade Policy at the UK Department for International Trade, in Beijing. During the meeting, Xin Guobin conveyed China's willingness to enhance collaboration with the UK in sectors such as automobiles, green and low-carbon technologies, the digital economy, and artificial intelligence. He further expressed a commitment to fulfilling the agreements reached during the telephonic conversation between the heads of state of both nations, aiming to forge a modern industrial cooperation partnership, foster additional cooperative outcomes, and achieve mutual development. Douglas Alexander concurred, expressing his hope that both parties would collaboratively push for the second China-UK Industrial Cooperation Dialogue, strengthen industrial strategic alignment, broaden the scope of cooperation, and share in the fruits of development.
