European Union (EU) regulators are diligently scrutinizing technology giants, imposing penalties for violations, and taking measures to address monopolistic practices and hinderances to healthy competition. Notably, Google has been entangled in legal disputes, and more recently, Apple and Meta have come under scrutiny for allegedly breaching the Digital Markets Act (DMA). The EU initially planned to announce its decision on penalizing these companies in March but postponed it due to a shift in priorities during tariff negotiations. However, the EU has now confirmed that it will release the pertinent decision within the next few weeks.
