The China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) has unveiled the top ten brain-computer interface (BCI) innovations of 2025, showcasing a myriad of technological advancements. Among these, the international debut of the 'North Brain No.1' flexible high-throughput semi-invasive wireless BCI system stands out, marking a milestone in human implantation. Additionally, the list includes a skull-implanted cerebrospinal fluid interface microdevice, a dual-loop collaborative evolution BCI system, and the world's pioneering electroencephalogram (EEG) large model, LaBraM. Furthermore, a BCI system leveraging mixed reality technology is also featured. Accompanying these innovations, a BCI standardization roadmap was released, underscoring the systematic progress in BCI technology across diverse fields such as healthcare and AI in China.
