TikTok has issued a comprehensive announcement aimed at curbing the misuse of AI technology during natural disasters. This announcement mandates that content creators clearly label AI-generated material and assume responsibility for the repercussions of their posts. The platform strictly prohibits the utilization of AI to create content that infringes upon rights, defies scientific logic, or propagates false rumors. To date, TikTok has successfully addressed 23,652 pieces of misinformation related to earthquakes and has published counter-narrative content to dispel rumors, thereby upholding the integrity and trustworthiness of the online environment.
