From January 8 to 9, 2025, the Netherlands' Minister of Economic Affairs, Dirk Jan Berends, embarked on a visit to Silicon Valley to engage in comprehensive strategic discussions with the American technology giants, NVIDIA and AMD. The objective of these discussions was to explore the avenues for providing essential hardware and technical expertise to facilitate the construction of artificial intelligence (AI) facilities within the Netherlands.

Berends underscored that by partnering with these two companies, the Netherlands aims to acquire cutting-edge hardware support and technical insights, thereby propelling the exploration and implementation of AI technology.
