Microsoft Asia Research's Former Visual Expert Hu Han Joins Tencent to Lead Development of the Hunyuan Large Model

Tencent has recently announced the appointment of Hu Han, former Principal Researcher of the Visual Computing Group at Microsoft Research Asia, to its ranks. Hu Han will succeed Liu Wei, who has departed, in overseeing the research and development of multimodal large models. Hu Han, renowned for his groundbreaking work in computer vision, notably introduced the Swin Transformer model, which has become a cornerstone in the field. Tencent, which has been consistently advancing in artificial intelligence, released the Hunyuan Turbo large model last year and open-sourced its text-to-video capability. Hu Han's arrival is poised to further bolster Tencent's technical prowess in AI.
