Building on previous efforts to regulate vulgar, harmful, and pirated micro short dramas, the National Radio and Television Administration (NRTA) has launched a new round of special governance aimed at addressing the vulgarization and homogenization of micro short dramas. This move responds to emerging issues such as uneven quality in AI-generated micro short dramas and the resurgence of vulgar content driven by AI technology. The campaign will run for two months, from November 1 to the end of December.
