A report from a U.S. model evaluation and threat research organization shows that the pace at which Anthropic's AI models are improving on specific tasks has recently been about twice as fast as before. Meanwhile, the company's CEO, Dario Amodei, publicly called in September of this year for slowing down the development of frontier AI technology so that safety precautions can keep pace with technological progress.
