Two days after voters weighed in on the rapid expansion of AI, OpenAI announced a series of commitments on Thursday, reaffirming that it will fully cover the power costs of its data centers. According to the commitment document, for data centers it operates itself, the company will seek community input and publicly disclose construction plans, and will no longer sign confidentiality agreements with public officials. OpenAI also urged policymakers in its policy agenda to enshrine similar commitments into law.
