On November 5, at the Artificial Intelligence and Chinese Modernization Forum during the 7th World Media Summit, the world's first bionic humanoid robot news anchors were officially unveiled, marking the transition of the innovative communication model—"authoritative information + embodied intelligence"—from theory to practical application. The robot anchors, named "Xin Yan" and "Xin Yu," were jointly developed by Xinhua News Agency and UBTECH, with Zhang Yimou serving as chief image designer, and were custom-built for news scenarios. Both anchors are replicated at a 1:1 human scale and rely on Xinhua News Agency's AI current affairs information intelligent agent "Xinhua Yudian" and UBTECH's full-chain proprietary technologies—ranging from bionic skin, embodied intelligent hardware, and operating systems to emotional large models and complete machine mass production and manufacturing—and possess on-site appearance and broadcasting capabilities.
