According to data from the China National Light Industry Council, the light industry has achieved notable progress in its digital and intelligent transformation: the penetration rate of digital R&D and design tools has reached 86.2%, the penetration rate of digital business management stands at 82.3%, and 167 5G factories have been established across the sector. Speaking at the 16th Light Industry Informatization Conference, Secretary-General Guo Yongxin noted that emerging technologies such as large models, intelligent agents, and robots are reshaping production methods, product forms, and consumer scenarios in the light industry. Going forward, efforts will focus on advancing technological innovation in industry-specific large models, key intelligent equipment, and industrial software; promoting intelligent manufacturing, smart supply chains, and inclusive AI solutions; fostering new business forms such as smart homes, elderly-friendly products, and health-oriented consumption; deepening industry-education integration and skills training; and building a multi-stakeholder collaborative ecosystem for digital and intelligent development.
