A user has successfully jailbroken a NordicTrack Commercial 2250 treadmill using the AI programming tool Claude Code in about a day and a half, bypassing the mandatory iFIT subscription requirement and turning the large screen into a freely usable streaming media interface. The project has been made public on GitHub. After the modification, the device features a customizable home screen and integrates streaming media applications, exercise data, and control options, while still allowing fitness functions to be operated during video playback. Physical buttons remain functional, and Netflix startup time is significantly reduced.
