Doubao Work, the standalone client for ByteDance's productivity-oriented Agent AI product, has officially landed on Huawei's HarmonyOS PC AppGallery, where users can now search for and download it directly. The product is designed to elevate capabilities from content generation to full task completion, enabling it to autonomously break down tasks based on user goals, invoke tools, and orchestrate complex workflows. The HarmonyOS PC version offers a dual-model experience with support for switching between chat and work modes, covering a wide range of core office scenarios—with work mode enabling long-chain Agent task execution. The standard Doubao app had previously integrated both modes; this standalone client now gives power office users a more focused interface and a more seamless workflow experience. Doubao had previously topped the HarmonyOS PC user wishlist, making it the platform's most anticipated third-party AI application. Today, the HarmonyOS PC app marketplace hosts over 21,000 applications, including nine AI agents and AI assistants in the AI category—a clear sign that the ecosystem is steadily maturing.
