The Kimi Open Platform has officially launched Kimi Hosted Agents, offering the Harness that powers agent operations as a cloud service. Developers no longer need to build their own runtime framework—they can now access a 24/7 hosted environment that supports long-running task execution and multi-agent collaboration, and configure agents on demand to build two types of applications. The platform provides isolated sandboxes and network access permission controls, supports operation boundary settings, allows sessions to be terminated at any time, maintains traceable execution records, and supports audit export, while also offering billing rules and usage reports. This hosted model lowers the barrier to deploying agents, with Kimi handling underlying environment maintenance and upgrades, thereby shortening the cycle from prototype validation to application launch. The product includes 140+ built-in Skills and 30+ plugins covering a wide range of scenarios; the independent security component Kimi Inference Hook can inspect content before each model inference and block privacy and sensitive data in accordance with enterprise-defined security rules. Currently, the product is available only by invitation to enterprise-certified users, and the documentation site provides related guidance, with the first batch opening 8 financial agent templates. Turning agent runtime from months of engineering investment into an on-demand cloud service marks another step by large model vendors toward productivity deployment.
