On November 4, Tencent Hunyuan officially launched Hy4, its new-generation large language model. Compared with the earlier Hy4 Preview, the new model has scaled up both pre-training and post-training, introduced visual understanding capabilities for the first time, and focused on strengthening instruction following, long-text comprehension, long-horizon agent capabilities, and performance on real-world productivity tasks. Hy4 has a total parameter count of 770 billion (770B), uses a mixture-of-experts architecture, and supports Computer Use for the first time—enabling it to carry out complex tasks by combining command-line and graphical interfaces. Evaluations show that Hy4 ranks among the world's top-tier open-source models, and the model weights will be open-sourced soon.
