YouTube is rolling out its "Replace Song" tool in Studio to content creators worldwide. Previously available only in the United States, this feature allows creators who receive audio copyright claims to instantly generate four unique royalty-free instrumental background tracks to replace copyright-protected audio. Once the replacement is complete, the corresponding Content ID claims are automatically removed. After opening the tool, creators can click the newly added "Create" button under the "Suggestions" tab to generate four instrumental tracks of approximately three minutes each, which can be looped on the timeline or have their volume adjusted. The feature is designed to minimize the disruption audio copyright claims cause to the creative process, enabling creators to quickly select background music that meets copyright safety requirements while preserving the original atmosphere of their videos. Currently, the tool only generates instrumental background music and does not yet support vocal or full-song creation.
