On November 3, the 2026 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit Ministerial Meeting was held in Wuzhen under the theme "Jointly Promoting People-Centered and Upward-for-Good Development of Artificial Intelligence." Wang Jingtao, Deputy Director of the Cyberspace Administration of China, noted that a new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation is accelerating with a stream of breakthroughs, that global AI innovation is bursting with vitality as large models, intelligent agents, and embodied intelligence advance rapidly, and that digital and intelligent technologies are injecting fresh momentum into global economic growth and the transformation of growth drivers—even as risks and challenges continue to surface in technology ethics, cybersecurity, and governance. He called on the international community to work together to ensure that AI development always follows a people-centered and upward-for-good direction, and put forward five proposals: to promote innovative development with a more open posture, to deepen digital-intelligent empowerment through more proactive actions, to strengthen security safeguards with more pragmatic measures, to enhance human well-being through closer cooperation, and to uphold fairness and justice with a more equal philosophy.
