Overseas revenue now accounts for 50% of ByteDance's video generation model Seedance, with international earnings growing nearly fivefold over the past six months. The model had previously drawn a cease-and-desist letter from the Motion Picture Association of America over copyright concerns, though the two sides later signed a global intellectual property protection memorandum. The copyright protection improvements in the model's new version have been recognized by the MPA, and Disney has also entered into related content cooperation with TikTok. Domestically, the model has secured several leading internet clients, with Tencent among its top three clients in China and Bilibili ranking in the top ten. In addition, Seedance is expanding into the physical industry, where related clients now account for more than a quarter of its business. ByteDance plans to leverage version 2.5's capabilities to further apply video generation to areas such as embodied intelligence, manufacturing simulation, and industrial training.
