Several major online audio-visual platforms have released the results of October's special governance campaign targeting AI-tampered videos, with more than 11,000 rule-breaking videos removed and over 30 offending accounts handled. According to the National Radio and Television Administration (NRTA), the special governance initiative carried out earlier has yielded effective results. Since February 1, related efforts have been continuously advanced through a routine and institutionalized long-term mechanism. The NRTA is urging major online audio-visual platforms to further fulfill their primary responsibilities, step up routine inspections, and focus on removing AI-tampered rule-breaking videos that target classic film and television works as well as various cult animations, in a bid to foster a healthy online audio-visual ecosystem.
