The robotics and embodied intelligence sector is undergoing a period of adjustment, yet entrepreneurs pursuing non-consensus technical paths continue to attract capital. Founded only two months ago by two post-00s researchers, JiBen Intelligence has closed two consecutive funding rounds totaling nearly $10 million. The company is targeting the robotic dexterous manipulation space, with a focus on an integrated software-hardware dexterous hand solution. It positions manipulation capability at the "cerebellum layer," concentrating on low-level physical interaction and execution capabilities that go beyond upper-layer task planning by large models. The team has adopted a reinforcement learning approach and is exploring the construction of a training data system that combines simulation, human demonstrations, and generated interaction trajectories. The team anticipates that domestic dexterous hand hardware will rapidly become standardized and profit margins will narrow, so it is prioritizing the development of a dexterous manipulation model platform adaptable to different hardware, while keeping the door open to accelerating technical validation through self-developed or partner hardware. JiBen Intelligence is an entrepreneurial project officially supported by the Beijing Institute for General Artificial Intelligence (BIGAI) and constitutes an important part of BIGAI's Real2Sim2Real system. The team hopes to translate its long-term research achievements in dexterous manipulation into commercial products, ultimately enabling dexterous hands to achieve human-level manipulation capabilities and gradually take over most of humanity's mechanical, repetitive physical labor.
