Neuralink, Musk's brain-computer interface company, has achieved a major technological breakthrough by linking the AI model Grok directly to the human brain—advancing brain-computer interfaces from thought-controlled devices to thought-controlled AI. The company's core engineers moved into the home of Kenneth, a clinical trial participant living with ALS, and after 72 hours of intensive development, rolled out eight brand-new technical prototypes. These prototypes achieve deep integration from low-level neural signal capture all the way up to top-tier AI large models, covering functions such as neural voice activity detection, real-time neural signal visualization, a mobile phone brain-computer input method with lock-screen integration, and a Grok agent with thought-based invocation. This breakthrough leverages large models to overcome the bandwidth bottleneck of brain-computer interfaces: the brain only needs to output core intentions, and AI can be entrusted with carrying out the subsequent complex operations—making "think it, and it's done" a reality. It marks a key step forward in human-machine collaboration.
