Australian data center operator Firmus Grid Ltd., backed by NVIDIA, has shelved its $5.5 billion IPO plan amid investor skepticism over its lofty $30 billion valuation. The company is now turning to existing investors for private fundraising. This development has drawn significant attention in Asian stock markets, prompting investors to exercise greater caution in AI infrastructure deals reliant on future earnings. It also reflects a conservative market stance following a flurry of AI-related financing deals. Year-to-date, IPO, share placements, and block trade financing in the Asia-Pacific region have reached nearly $250 billion, with full-year 2025 projections hovering around $260 billion.
