On October 12, JPMorgan analysts pointed out that AI stocks could account for up to 50% of the weight in Asian indices, and it is expected that by 2027, this sector will contribute 70% of the profit growth in the region. The report shows that investment in the AI sector in Asia is primarily focused on hardware, and supply constraints are expected to persist at least until 2028, which will give related companies stronger pricing power. The areas facing the most severe shortages include advanced logic chips, chip packaging, semiconductor equipment, Ajinomoto Build-up Film (ABF) substrates, high-end copper-clad laminate materials, HBM, and high-speed optical components. JPMorgan predicts that by 2028, the net profit of the AI ecosystem will exceed $1 trillion, with free cash flow reaching $700 billion. Additionally, JPMorgan maintains an "overweight" rating on tech stocks and the stock markets of Taiwan, China, and South Korea.
