OpenAI has rolled out GPT-6 for all free and paid ChatGPT users worldwide, replacing the previous GPT-5.6 Sol and GPT-5.6 Luna. GPT-6 integrates Astra security technology, strengthening protection against abuse in cyber, biological, and violent domains, while also enhancing resistance to jailbreak attacks and reducing behaviors that bypass safety measures. Both its Sol and Luna versions have met alignment safety thresholds. According to the security readiness framework evaluation, GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna, scheduled for release in October, demonstrate high-level capabilities in cybersecurity, biological, and chemical domains.
