Preferred Networks, a Japanese company, has just rolled out its latest in-house developed translation model, the PLaMo3Translate31B. Leveraging the robust foundation of the PLaMo3 base model, this innovative translation tool incorporates around 30% Japanese content into its training data and boasts the capability to translate among 53 languages. Notably, the model introduces a specialized online meeting translation mode, supporting 15 languages to facilitate seamless communication in multilingual settings.

In a series of rigorous and authoritative translation benchmark tests, the PLaMo3Translate31B model has demonstrated remarkable performance, securing an average score that eclipses that of OpenAI's comparable models.
