On October 8, 2026, OpenAI announced the global rollout of GPT-6 to all ChatGPT users, gradually replacing GPT-5.6 Sol and GPT-5.6 Luna. This update introduces a new intelligent UI feature, enabling AI responses to go beyond text by directly generating charts, interactive interfaces, and other content. Paid users (Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise) will use GPT-6 Sol, while free and Go users will have access to GPT-6 Luna. Both models are optimized for everyday conversational experiences. The intelligent UI feature automatically selects the most suitable content display format based on user questions, such as text, images, charts, buttons, forms, and even directly generates operable interactive interfaces. For example, users can compare different products through a combination of text and images or create interactive charts to learn complex knowledge. Additionally, users can instruct ChatGPT to generate tools like calculators or bill-splitting utilities and even create mini-games directly within the chat interface. The intelligent UI will not appear in every response; ChatGPT automatically determines whether graphical or interactive elements are needed based on the question type. For simple queries, it will still provide direct text-based answers. In addition to enhanced interactivity, GPT-6 also improves response speed by starting to output answers while simultaneously processing the query, reducing user wait times.
