On October 8, according to Axios, U.S. President Trump plans to attend an AI science conference on Thursday to promote the use of 'superintelligence' to drive scientific breakthroughs. At the conference, the White House will announce that companies such as AMD, OpenAI, and Anthropic have committed over $1 billion in industrial investments for the 'Genesis Initiative.' The initiative will also establish computing hubs across 10 states in the southeastern U.S., involving over 14 institutions. Georgia will receive $1 billion in investment to provide computing resources for students and university faculty. Additionally, the U.S. National Science Foundation and the Department of Energy will invest over $100 million to develop AI-driven scientific research tools.
