Guests from China and abroad emphasized that technological advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) present immense opportunities while also posing governance challenges. During the 18th BRICS Summit, President Xi Jinping put forward initiatives such as leveraging AI to drive new industrialization and fostering open-source inclusivity, charting a positive and progressive course for AI development. Presently, the modernization drive in the Global South is at a pivotal juncture, underscoring the need to harness AI effectively to bolster endogenous development momentum.
