On September 30, 2026, Baseten, a U.S.-based AI infrastructure company, made an announcement stating that enterprise users are now able to leverage the Chinese open-source large-scale model, Kimi K3, within OpenAI's programming tool, Codex. The usage fees will be directly deducted from the enterprise's existing OpenAI procurement commitment quota, thereby eliminating the necessity for additional supplier procurement procedures. This development signifies Kimi K3's official foray into OpenAI's mainstream paid billing channel for enterprise clients and marks a historic moment as it is the first instance of a Chinese open-source model gaining entry into this enterprise procurement framework. Prior to this, Kimi K3 had already been seamlessly integrated into Amazon Web Services' large-scale model service platform, Amazon Bedrock, establishing a revenue-sharing partnership with overseas cloud service providers.
