Eligible subscribers can receive additional Colab compute units, unlocking more powerful cloud computing capabilities such as GPUs and TPUs. As a no-installation, hosted Jupyter Notebook service, Colab allows users to write Python code and utilize cloud resources directly, making it a popular tool for many AI experimenters. After this upgrade, Google AI Ultra users will not only enjoy 20TB of cloud storage, up to 20 times the Gemini usage quota, and YouTube Premium, but will also gain access to Premium GPU support and uninterrupted background execution, eliminating the need to keep browser tabs open continuously. The benefits for existing Colab Pro and Pro+ users remain unaffected and can be combined with Google AI plans, with compute units accumulating to further enhance the user experience. Relevant benefits will be gradually rolled out to Google AI subscribers who support Colab over the next few weeks.
