After facing scrutiny over allegations of unauthorized code transmission, Zhipu ZCode announced its open-source release, stating that it has removed the repository snapshot upload link and deleted the involved cloud data. It pledged to adhere to the principle of 'no uploading without your initiation' in the future, with the open-source version now updated to 3.14.3. Zhipu apologized to affected users, explaining that the issue stemmed from the default-enabled codebase indexing feature, which could potentially trigger repository data uploads when generating Repo Wiki pages. The company has completed self-inspection and repairs. Additionally, Zhipu compensated users by offering reset cards and Token credits.
