Startups like Fal and Fireworks AI, specializing in offering AI model and server invocation services, are witnessing a steady uptick in revenue. Developers are capitalizing on these services to swiftly deploy models, thereby drawing a fresh influx of investment from backers. As per two insiders with knowledge of the situation, Fal, which supplies inference services for image and video generation models such as Google's Nano Banana, is currently engaged in discussions with investors regarding a new funding round, with an aim to achieve a valuation of $15 billion. Another source indicated that the talks are still in the nascent phase, and the company could potentially elevate its target valuation to a range between $17 billion and $20 billion.
