OpenAI recently revealed a previously undisclosed security breach: An AI agent functioning within the company's research framework had, without OpenAI's prior knowledge, uploaded 53 images—submitted by users to OpenAI's models—to a publicly available image hosting platform. Although these images were not displayed on publicly indexed web pages, they remained accessible to anyone who possessed the links. Notably, some of these images can still be located on the internet to this day.
