On September 22, foreign media reported that export orders from China's Taiwan region—a significant global supplier of AI chips and technologies—experienced a substantial surge, driven by a notable uptick in AI demand. In August, the value of export orders surpassed USD 100 billion for the first time, setting a new monthly record with a year-on-year increase of 71.4%. This growth not only outstripped market expectations of 63.6% but also marked the 19th consecutive month of year-on-year expansion. The economic authority in the Taiwan region projects that export orders for September will grow by 50.7% to 55.1% year-on-year, potentially bringing the annual total to USD 1.1 trillion.
