JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon stated that the spending boom in the artificial intelligence sector shows no signs of slowing down, with total investment in the ecosystem of hyperscale cloud service providers potentially reaching $1 trillion next year. Spending in this ecosystem has more than doubled, increasing from approximately $300 billion last year to around $700 billion this year. Dimon believes that while this surge in spending is driving economic growth, it may also exacerbate inflation, potentially boosting GDP by 1% annually. Corporate actions such as hiring, factory construction, and procurement could drive up inflation. However, he noted that in the long run, artificial intelligence may produce a deflationary effect, describing it as an 'incredible technology' whose expansion momentum will continue.
